Human Trafficking & Domestic Violence
Responsible for public awareness of domestic violence, workplace/purple ribbon campaign is scheduled by Soroptimist of the Americas for the month of October.
Gathers information to combat human trafficking through prevention, prosecution and victim protection.

Work with WRAP ( Women's Recovery Program)  to select a woman for an empowering make-over to build confidence and self-esteem for embarking in a new life. Offer scholarships to woment returning to school.

Soroptimist Dream It Be It Program will be delivered to S Club girls, and others.

                               LOCAL SERVICE PROJECTS

Mary Harris Reading Program
Community reading project in various after school locations where we volunteer to read to children. Coordinating with library and schools for reading materials and site locations. Maintaining a list of volunteers and schedule.

Holiday CARE-oling #46
Prepare a holiday celebration, music, goodies and small presents for each of the residents at Orchard Acute Care and VCRC and Cornerstone Assisted Living. Member attendance and participation sign ups.

Community Grants
Make committee recommendations for expenditures for the club to vote on. Recognize each request with a letter of receipt, denial, or acceptance. Consider grants to other non-profits as well.

Budget/Overview
Prepare a budget for the following year, present at the May business meeting for the club to review, club votes on the budget in June. On a yearly basis, review the details of financial records of the club, and give a report at the end of the year.

Responsible for following up with invited prospects to the club. Plan special events to build membership. Prepare membership cards. Set yearly goals for the amount of new members. This committee is active year round. Educate new members on Soroptimist in general, programs of service, history of our club, club customs.

Public Relations (PALS)
Update our website, maintain Facebook page, prepare press releases for club events, keep the press informed of various activities, plan and post social media, assist committees that require assistance and planning for Public Relations efforts. Prepare PR/Media timeline. PR chair is to coordinate with all committee chairs and attend their meetings when necessary.

Fundraising Steering Committee 
Prepare an annual goal for fundraising efforts and create a fundraiser to match the goal. Track, plan, expenditures and funds raised. Seven members for the Steering Committee are required. All members are automatically on this committee.
