Soroptimist International of Vacaville truly believes that literacy is one of the keys of life that build self confidence and furthers the desire to learn for a lifetime. Our reading program was started in 2002, by our beloved past president Mary Harris. She developed the program to include various sites within after school programs and our libraries to bring stories to life as volunteers read to young children. We are not sure who enjoys this program more, the children or the Soroptimist volunteer readers!
