Soroptimist International of Vacaville is accepting applications from women who serve as the primary wage earners for their families and seek financial assistance to continue their education or receive training.
Applications for the Soroptimist Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women will be OPEN JULY 1-NOVEMBER 15, 2019. Follow us on Facebook to find out more.
“Typically the deadline for submission is the first of November, but we encourage all qualified applicants to submit as soon as possible,” said Live Your Dream Chairwoman Sandy Esparza.
The Vacaville club provides up to a $5000 cash grant to the award recipient, who will then advance to the Soroptimist Founder Region level, where an additional $5000 may be awarded. The program culminates with three finalist $10,000 awards.
Recipients can use the Live Your Dream Award to offset costs associated with their efforts to attain higher education or additional skills and training. This includes tuition, books, childcare, carfare or any other education-related expense.
Judging will be completed by Feb. 1, 2019, and the winner will be notified and invited to attend an awards ceremony in March.
