2. Personal Growth and Development: Membership in SIVV continues one’s growth and education in human relations and personal development.

3. Leadership Development: Soroptimist is an organization of leaders and successful people. Serving in SIVV positions is like a college education. Leadership: – learning how to motivate, influence and lead leaders.

4. Community: Membership in SIVV makes one a better community citizen. Soroptimist Int. of Vacaville consists of active citizens of Vacaville.

5. Fun: SIVV is fun, a lot of fun. Each meeting is fun. The club projects are fun. Social activities are fun. Serving others is fun.

6. Public Speaking Skills: Many individuals who joined SIVV were afraid to speak in public. SIVV develops confidence and skill in public communication and the opportunity to practice and perfect these skills.

7. Development of Social Skills: Every week and at various events and functions, SIVV develops one’s personality, social skills, and people skills. SIVV is for people who like people and want to be of service.

8. Citizens of the World: Because we are an international organization, we learn of world issues. We have a presence at the United Nations. 

9. Opportunity to Serve: SIVV is a service club. Soroptimists provide community service to both local and international communities. This is perhaps the best reason for becoming a Soroptimist: the chance to empower women and girls in our local community and the world. “If you educate a man, you educate an individual.
